Flatout mode[]

A single player mode. A player earns CR to buy and upgrade their cars. Players can sell their cars for half price.

Fourth place or worse in the cup will not unlock the next level. Players must complete the tracks in each cup in order. Players can complete cups in each level in any order.

Fourth place or worse will not unlock the corresponding event... Players can complete the same cup multiple times to get more money.

Events are special cups like Time Trials or Derby with just one track. Cups and events are accessible from the GO RACE menu.

Players can exit a race during cups other than Time Trials and Derby to change or sell a car from the garage, buy new car in the car shop or upgrade a car in the upgrade shop.

Racers aren't tied during cups other than Time Trials and Derby. The player is always higher during cups when cup points are equal.

Players can only enter races when they have at least one vehicle for that class. After that, the game will offer to open the corresponding store.

Cup points 10 cup points for 1st place after each track. 8 cup points for 2nd place after each track. 6 cup points for 3rd place after each track. 5 cup points for 4th place after each track down to 1 cup point for 8th place after each track.

Trivia[]

The position indicator does not change from 12 after someone has wrecked.

Race results after each track show DNF in the Total Time column but not in the Best Lap column for wrecked riders.

The game shows a new lap record message, even if this is the first time.

Fast Start from FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage doesn't have instant feedback like Perfect Launch from Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
