The Scorpion is slow accelerating but its nitro is powerful. It is very strong and quite front heavy, which allows it to cause some of the worst crashes in the game. However its main advantage is its excellent stability (quite poorly utilized by Ray Carter). Although it has a wide turning radius, it maintains its line almost perfectly and is very difficult to disrupt. It may not be the best at landing jumps, but it does not react too much to debris on the road. Arguably the one of the best derby contenders in Street class, but also the most difficult to master, the Scorpion is a textbook 'hit-and-run' type of fighter. Its stability allows it to keep to the side and avoid crashes very easily with a flick of the tail or nitro. Once the time is right its good high speed acceleration and top speed, combined with high weight and nitro, makes for a torpedo like charge into the opposition. However it is a very poor brawler due to its wide turning radius and generally slow acceleration and will suffer against cars such as the Sparrowhawk.
In Flatout: Ultimate Carnage, the Scorpion has only changed in stats significantly. It is not as stable as before, but is better accelerating and has a much more powerful nitro. Its top speed has fallen significantly.
